
2013 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 is develop by Reiter Engineering collaborate with R&D Motorsport devision of Lamborghini for 2013 – 2014 GT3 car from GT3 motorsport program of minimum five years with Reiter Engineering, and this is the first car from GT3 motorsport program. This car is based from Gallardo MY2013 that come with several improvement on the engine cooling, better fuel consumtion, and including “24-hour” breakes. The exterior also equipped with better aerodynamic bodykit that including new front splitter and rear carbon diffuser that based on developed for Super Trofeo. Compare to the predecessor, 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 is 25kg (55 pound) lighter, so power-to-weight performance also improved.
Gallardo GT3 FL2 also build with low running costs, €9/km to €12/km of the rebuild parts. This car will priced at € 320,000 (US$432,000) excluding taxes, and begin in March 2013, Gallardo GT3 FL2 car will take a part at Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Endurance Series, Italian GT3 Championship in Europe, and the Asia Le Mans Series.
Reiter Engineering itself has developed its own Lamborghini GT cars start in 2000, reaching 199 victories with 350 podium finishes in GT championship since 2007. This is the first time of Reiter Engineering develop the GT car with Stephan Winkelmann, the Automobili Lamborghini President and CEO. Reiter Engineering also become supply partner for Lamborghini GT3 cars based on their own developed. Stephan Winkelmann also said that will committed to supporting 2013 race in Europe and Asia, while in 2014 planed to expansion to United states.
